Speedometer is off.

I just bought a 2001 Wrangler Sport. After the third week I got a speeding ticket and couldn't imagine why because my speedometer said I was doing the speed limit.

After just doing a test with my friend we found out the speedometer is off by about 13mph at higher speeds. We are assuming it is from the following modifications that came with the jeep.

3" lift
35" procomp tires

Has anyone had these problems, or any thoughts on this?

You need a new speedo gear due to the size of your tires.
The tooth count on your new speedo gear will depend on what gears you are running.
