This weekend Chris and I represented Bottoms Up Rock Racing and stole the Unlimited Virginia State Champion Title from Bunny Rose at the annual competition held at the Big Dogs Offroad Main Jambo.

Bunny Rose has held the title for 3 years and we overcame the stacked odds and won it. The first two courses were extremely tough but we were able to make a 15 and a 20 point bonus climb that I have never seen run before and make it out the finish gate with less then 10 seconds left on the clock on both courses.

You'll notice #515 sounds a little rough in the clips, we are having problems with fuel/air/spark delivery but were still able to lock down the win even with the motor running at about 60%

Here is a clip of the 15 point bonus line:

No, I'm not sure. We ingested a small amount of water in the RCROCS race and it hasn't seem to be running right since.

It is not throwing any codes, I'm thinking the plugs are possibly fouled up?

Also, I have a fuel filter like this:

The filter element is just too small on it so it gets clogged in just a few hours and really hurts the performance of the motor. I think the filter getting continually clogged has really put a hurting on the fuel pump so I'm going to try replacing the fuel pump and moving my current pump to the spare parts box.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a different style of fuel filter?

get a stock 5.3 filter. Thats exactly what I run. It has threaded bungs on each end.

do you run it pre or post pump?

I just have the stock 4.0L with an E2000 pump, but I use Walbro fuel pickups in my cell as a pre-pump filter. They have 70 micron screens on them. I also have a filter similar to the one in your pic after the pump.
