View Full Version : Need a Maryland Engineer/Architect

Well, the Ann Arundel County building permit department sent back my building
plans with comments that need to be addressed. I need to have an
engineer/architect registered in Maryland review my plans and sign and seal
them. This was a little unexpected, since they don't typically require
signed and sealed plans for garages.

Specifically, I need to clarify the footings. They feel that the continuous
footings as shown appear to be inadequate to support the steel frame building
plans.

I am building a Miracle Truss Style building, using steel trusses from Adams Truss, and will be siding my builiding with vinyl siding and a shingled roof to match my house.

Is anyone able to help me with this engineer stamp? I am fully prepared to compensate at your regular rate for getting this resolved.

Thanks

John

Give Paul Sil a call.
I am not sure if he can do the work, but if he can not he can point you in the right direction.

Anne Arundel County is the most difficult place I have ever dealt with to get a permit...

Although Rob Waldon was unable to help me, he was able to get me pointed in the right direction. The person he told me to see was a engineer in Bowie who ended up steering me to a small outfit in Annapolis who took the project on.

Will let you all know how this proceeds. The permit people are driving me :dan1::mikey:
