I have to replace my TJ steering box for the second time.
Is the Durango box really an upgrade for a 98 TJ? I've read conflicting info.

Why does it need replacing? If its leaking just rebuild it. Seal kit should be $40 or less and takes a couple hours at most. Also consider adding a steering box brace.
I think the durango box is an upgrade if its the bigger bore one. Might get a better lock to lock ratio too. I dont know if its worth the cost personally.

I got some pretty sweet slop in the wheel, it's definately shot.
More than likely I'm gonna get the 98 Durango box with the Snowplow option. Unless I can get a warranty replacement from Pep Boys...Do they honor warranties in all stores? I bought my current box in Pittsburgh, pretty sure I don't have the receipt though.
